Spectre (HP)
Problem.
HP needed a name for their spin-off business that would help establish themselves as a more premium company. Given that their revolutionary model had the distinction of being the first multi-surface glass personal computer in the industry, HP wanted a name that was edgy yet sophisticated.
Solution.
The brand name Spectre was not only an intriguing word, but it is also possessed prestige and a touch of charm. The word Spectre sparked associations of moving swiftly, silently, and stealth like, which further enhanced the “cool factor” of HP’s product.
