Revolutionary NAVICA™ app helps people navigate COVID-19
Abbott partnered with Lexicon Branding to name the companion mobile app for Abbott’s new COVID-19 antigen test. Together, the test and app enable rapid and reliable testing at mass scale, granting those who test negative a secure digital pass allowing safe access to workplaces and schools.
The name NAVICA was created to communicate reassurance, safety, and acknowledge that we are navigating daily life in a new way.
“We intentionally designed the BinaxNOW test and NAVICA app so we could offer a comprehensive testing solution to help Americans feel more confident about their health and lives,” Abbott president and chief executive Robert Ford said. “BinaxNOW and the NAVICA app give us an affordable, easy-to-use, scalable test, and a digital health tool to help us have a bit more normalcy in our daily lives.”
Abbott plans to produce 50 million tests each month by October that will sell for just $5.
