Lexicon created the name Skydive for the AI agent platform built by Anything, the San Francisco-based startup founded by former Google product leads Dhruv Amin and Marcus Lowe.

Problem

The AI agent category has a language problem. Its vocabulary defaults to the cautious and the corporate — copilots, assistants, automation platforms, workflow tools. Names that hedge. Names that position AI as a helper, not a participant.

Anything knew the agent builder market would be a bloodbath. Standing out wouldn’t just be a branding advantage — it would be a survival requirement. The name needed to be original and unexpected enough to redefine the category, not just compete in it. It needed to carry lift — supporting the idea of freedom, experimentation, and doing more without restrictions. Since adoption would be horizontal, it also needed to invite a much broader audience beyond developers.

Anything was building something that demanded a different conversation entirely. Their platform doesn’t deploy assistants — it creates teammates. Agents with names, personalities, and their own computers. Ones that live in Slack, email, iMessage, and work through the night, file reports before the CEO arrives in the morning, and keep improving as they go. The question Anything was asking wasn’t “what tool should we buy?” It was “could an agent own this?” Increasingly, the answer was yes.

Solution

Lexicon created Skydive — the most kinetic name in a category that had forgotten how to move. Where competitors hedge with language of assistance and augmentation, Skydive commits. It dramatizes the product’s core behavior: launch, motion, acceleration, and the irreversible leap from intent into action.

A skydive is not reckless — it is only possible because of preparation, instrumentation, visibility, and landing systems. That is exactly the product promise. Speed with structure. Boldness that is engineered, not improvised. An agent doesn’t just get launched; it gets equipped, trained, and sent into the world ready to work.

Skydive also breaks cleanly from the category. It is vivid, visual, and instantly memorable. People can picture it the moment they hear it. In a market crowded with names that explain, Skydive is a name that moves.

And it arrived with its tagline already built in. “Take the leap” is a natural extension of the word itself, the invitation implicit in everything Skydive does.

Results

Skydive launched in August 2026, covered exclusively by Fast Company as part of Anything’s $100 million valuation raise backed by Footwork, Uncork Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, and M13. Anything runs more than 150 agents internally — handling support, engineering, recruiting, marketing, design, and operations — with over a million users having built millions of apps on the platform. Skydive is the next chapter: AI agents that don’t just assist, but own.
