Horticulture specialists at Monsanto developed a smaller bell pepper hybrid that was both tasty and non-GMO. The issue was how to express this new bell pepper's natural origin along with its delightful size and taste.
Using the common root bell- from bell pepper in order to imply the vegetable’s natural source, we combined this to the word part –fina to suggest both a fine size and a fine taste. From these word parts, Bellafina was born: a natural solution that is both approachable and sounds delightfully delicious.
