Neffos (TP-Link)

Problem.
TP-Link, a global China-based provider of networking products, was preparing to enter the smartphone market. They needed a name to support a seamless mobile experience for customers worldwide along with its message to “capture the essence of life in a moment, and save the beauty of it all for a lifetime.”
Solution.
The Greek word for “cloud,” Neffos works not only for its relevance to technology but also for its linguistic properties. The initial ‘n’ sound is smooth, leading into a fun double ‘ff’ and ending in a reliable, classic ‘os’ suggesting an advanced “operating system.” TP-Link now sells Neffos smartphones across China, India, and Russia.
