If you were still in any doubt that netbooks are taking over the world, the emergence of Nokia's netbook, the Nokia Booklet 3G, should convince you. It'll be one of the first netbooks to comewith Windows 7, will sport a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, 3G, integrated A-GPS and a 10.1-inch screen capable of showing 720p hi-def. Nokia's promising up to 12 hours battery life with 3G turned off, an HDMI for piping that HD footage from its ten-inch screen to your presumably larger telly, plus regular features such as the 1GB of RAM and 120GB hard drive, Bluetooth and a webcam. Proof, were any needed, that netbooks are the big, small story in tech right now.
Four features of the... Nokia Booklet 3G
1. Syncing Feeling
The A-GPS synces with Ovi Maps, showing your position on screen. You can sync to your Nokia phone from Ovi Suite.
2. Connect Two
As well as three USBs and an HDMI out, it takes SD cards and has a SIM card slot for transferring data via your phone account.
3. Weigh For It
With dimensions of 264x185x19.9mm and weighing 1.25kg, it's only a smidgeon heavier than Samsung's N310.
4. Ovi Ready
The Booklet 3G syncs with Nokia's Ovi Store, where you can purchase music, games and apps just as you would on your mobile.
